GCSE Physical Education

GCSE physical education came in the form of rock climbing at Conwy slabs and hill walking on the Glyders today. Both groups learnt new skills and techniques for their chosen activity. As well as outdoor education we also deliver activities to a higher level. In this case to students working towards GCSE PE in a few years time. More of the same tomorrow #school #learning #Thegreatoutdoors

There were glimpses of sunshine throughout the day in the mountains of North Wales but on the coast at Conwy mountains it was a different story! The students enjoyed some chill out time beside the lake at Llyn Idwal.

A wet week for budding geographers!

Wow what A week! This weeks group have done fantastically over coming everything that mother nature decided to throw at them. It really has been a wet week. The group managed to get on with every activity with out moaning, and groaning. We wish all of our year 11 geographers the best with there up and coming GCSEs, and hope they take some great memories away from Blue Peris.

Sunshine and showers and everything in between

Sunshine and showers and everything in between!

A great day spent in rivers of various kinds. Both having fun and also covering aspects of the GCSE syllabus by doing a river study in Nant Peris. The weather was really mixed providing challenges and large river flow readings!

Summer fun!

Another gorgeous day here in North Wales, keep the good weather coming! We thought there was no better way to celebrate the weather than going out and enjoying some wet activities. We had two groups exploring the coastline down on Anglesey, enjoying the jumps, climbs, and numerous challenges put in their way. A further two groups enjoyed the beauty that can be found at Llyn padarn; exploring the lake and lagoons by canoe; and then went for a climb over looking the lake at Union rock. We have had a blast today, and look forward to more adventures tomorrow.
