Two groups in the gorge

With the temperatures still mild, and 2 fresh groups ready to get stuck in, we drove to the Afon Ddu Gorge. The group had a blast scrambling up, crawling through and sliding down the gorge.
The emphasis for this week is on building self-confidence, push yourself out of your comfort zone and learning how to work and live with others.
We made a good start with that in the gorge, as some found challenging waterfalls to climb up, and we had our first feel of a bit of rock climbing, in the way of a slippery rocky scramble with the security of a rope. Hopefully tomorrow it will be dry so we can continue with challenging our fear of heights, climbing up the rock face.
After dinner the groups did the nightline, following an obstacle course with blindfolds on, needing communication amongst the group to stay together and find out what is coming up.
After that the group had a chance to fit some climbing shoes ready for tomorrow, and get a feel for them in our own little climbing room.
A good start of the week!

Trustfall

Might as well have some fun whilst were here

Do we really have to climb that? No, there's a way around
